Owner/Operator/Nursing Supervisor
Erin Steele, RN, BSN
Erin graduated from Washburn Nursing School in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and has worked in a variety of roles as an RN including Acute Care RN, Peri-Operative RN, Public Health RN, Home Health RN, Hospice RN, Long-term Care RN, Staff Development, Nursing Supervisor and Social Services/Activities Supervisor.
Erin’s passion in life is loving, caring for, and serving others. Creating this home has been something Erin has dreamed and sketched about for many years. Erin obtained her Operators license in October of 2022 in an effort to make this dream a reality. Through her many years of working with seniors, she has learned that seniors have vast knowledge, amazing experiences, and incredible insight to offer others; the children at our childcare center will get to have the best, most experienced, insightful teachers the world has offer! She has also witnessed and experienced the social isolation seniors experience living in facilities and they have difficulty finding purpose and meaning; the combined, intergenerational approach will allow seniors the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with the next generation as well as find purpose and joy in watching, interacting and serving children.
Erin also has a love for children that was established at a very young age; she was fortunate to grow up in a loving home with a very large family with 17 siblings and learned how to care for children from two of the best parents! Her mother had a love for the Lord and a love for children that was unmatched, and she passed that on to not only Erin but all of her siblings who will also be directly involved in the business. The hope is for the Neel family is to live out their mother’s legacy by sharing Shirley’s love with all of God’s children!
Erin is very involved in her church and enjoys serving as a religious education teacher and bible study leader as well as cantor for her Parish. In her spare time, Erin enjoys being outdoors, traveling, reading, music, cooking, enjoying the sunshine, camping and boating; she loves hosting big family get-togethers but mostly she enjoys anything that involves family and friends. Erin has a great love for the Lord and a passion for serving others!
