Rick & Brenda Steele
Rick and Brenda are residents of rural Wamego. Both growing up in South Central Nebraska, they moved their family to this area in the fall of 1985. Now married for almost 43 years, they are proud to call Wamego their home. Rick and Brenda are parents of two children, Joe and Jen and they have seven wonderful grandchildren ranging in age from 2 to 22!
Rick has worked in the construction industry for 45 years, recently retiring from Bayer Construction Inc. in 2022. Brenda has worked mainly in the medical field since graduating from high school. She will say that she enjoys helping people and geriatrics seem to be her forte. Baking is her favorite pastime.
Rick and Brenda enjoy attending their grandchildren’s activities and anything outdoors. Boating, fishing, and four-wheeling are some of their favorites.
Brenda and Rick are excited about this new adventure and look forward to helping to provide much-needed services to Alma and the surrounding communities.
You might find Rick at The Heritage Home filling the bird feeders, watering the lawn, or being an all-around handyman……. or perhaps he might be just visiting with the young and the old, drinking coffee and watching the birds, he is retired after all! Rick’s official title is “Keeper of the Birds!”
Brenda will be involved in daily operations and will serve in a variety of roles; rocking babies, baking cookies and goodies, reading stories, planning parties and holiday celebrations, coordinating crafts, and various other roles. She has officially been named “Heritage Homemaker!”
